A Lil Summer Recap

Blog…what’s a blog? It seems as though I had forgotten. I have not updated this since the Paria Trip in the spring, and now Thanksgiving is right around the corner.

I decided I would update it today because, well honestly I have a big essay do tomorrow and you all know how I put things off. I told myself I could not get on Facebook until it is done, so my next alternative to waste my time was Blogger! Haha, I am suffering from senioritis something fierce! I cannot wait to be done with school and on to the next chapter of my life, which is a career teaching little brats somewhere.

Summer was magnificent! I think every weekend I was doing something fun with either my friends or my family! Our annual Ladies Baseball trip (this year we went to San Francisco and Oakland with many stops along the way, including Yosemite) The Balloon/Volleyball Fest, Gardening, Parades, fireworks, Softball, reunions, golf, many nights spent outside in the cool night air around a fire in our back yard with family laughing and talking for hours, fishing, sleeping outside, camping, Holey-Board Competitions, Lake Powell trips with friends. This summer has been one of the best the time of my life!

Here are a few Pictures~

There was one down fall to the summer activities. In June, My Grandpa Jon, my mom’s dad, died. The stubborn old man did not want a traditional funeral, so we honored his wishes and had a memorial picnic with the family at our cabins at Widtsoe. We had a very nice program where my mom, Bronson, and I, yes I, shared memories. We also had my mom’s cousin Jerry Dee play his according and sing for us. It was a great way to remember Grandpa at one of his favorite places that he built for his family to enjoy! I miss him a lot, but know that I will be seeing him again! Yeah Joni! Love to read a post from you. I was cracking up at the teaching little brats somewhere part. Good luck with the senioritis. I'm still counting on our Pariah/Calf Creek/wherever trip next spring.
